Executive Roundtable · Weekly · Free

Fast is cheap now. Wrong is still expensive.

Seven founders. Sixty minutes. No pitch. Bring the feature list you already have and leave with the one sentence your v1 has to earn.

Why this room exists

Nobody in your company is paid to say no.

Building used to be expensive, so cost killed weak features before anyone had to argue about them. AI removed that filter. Now everything is cheap enough to build, so everything gets built.

Founders add. Investors add. Users don't get a vote. Shipping is visible and being right is not — so speed keeps winning the argument.

This is an hour with six other founders and one person whose whole job is to ask why that feature is in v1.

The hour

What actually happens in the room.

What changed, and what didn't

Ten minutes on the one cost that collapsed and the one that never moved — and why that combination is quietly wrecking v1 scopes everywhere.

10 minutes

The question that actually decides it

"Can we build it?" always has a yes. That is the trap. The question that decides it is who is worse off tomorrow if you don't.

10 minutes

Proof before build

Three ways to know before you spend: sell it first, because a pre-order is data and a compliment is not. Watch, don't ask. And find the hack — if nobody has a workaround today, there is no real pain.

10 minutes

Your turn — fill in the worksheet

You fill in the worksheet and answer the one that matters: my product does ______. We read them out. Then we cut everything that isn't that sentence — out loud, with six other founders watching.

30 minutes

What earns a slot in v1

If removing it doesn't break the one job, it isn't v1.

  • Does it serve the one job?
  • Does the job break without it?
  • Could release two carry it?

Two answers you don't like, and it's cut. You will use this test long after you have forgotten the rest of the hour.

The room

Seven seats, and rules that make them worth having.

Seven, capped

Small enough that everyone speaks and nobody hides. Eight is a webinar. Seven is a working session.

No pitch

There is no slide about my services and no follow-up sequence. If you want to talk afterwards, you will ask.

Real products only

Bring a product you are actually building and a feature list you actually wrote. Hypotheticals waste everyone's hour.

You already know which half of your list will never get used. This is the hour you say it out loud.

Straight answers

Before you take a seat.

What does it cost?

Nothing. Free, capped at seven, no pitch. The only ask is that you bring a real product and a real list.

Who's it for?

Founders and product leads at pre-seed to Series A companies who have a v1 feature list and a suspicion that half of it shouldn't be there.

Is it online or in person?

Online, sixty minutes, camera on. Some sessions run in person — those are announced separately.

What do I leave with?

One sentence you can defend, and a three-question test you can run on every feature request for the rest of the year.

Do you record it?

No. People say more honest things about their own products when nothing is being recorded, and honest is the whole value.

What if I just want to listen?

Then take the seat next week instead and give it to someone who will use it. Everyone in the room reads their sentence out.

Take a seat

Seven seats. Sixty minutes. No pitch.

Tell me the product you're building and I'll send you the next date. Choose "The Roundtable" on the form, or email me directly.
